Sweetgrass is smaller community in Mount Pleasant consisting over only 253 single family homes, built by Centex Homes from 1990-1994. It is one of Mount Pleasant’s best located neighborhoods, with the beaches, I-526 and over one hundred restaurants and retail and grocery stores within five miles. Sweetgrass is also located minutes from the beautiful historic Charleston, South Carolina. Dry boat storage is available for $200 a year to residents on a first-come, first serve basis.
Sweetgrass public schools are Mamie P. Whitesides Elementary (Grades K-5), Laing Middle School, (Grades 6-8) and Wando High School (Grades 9-12) with numerous private and parochial schools also closeby.
